Disease Course Map

Welcome to the Disease Course Map app developed by the E-DADS consortium! This app shows the average trajectory of relevant markers for Alzheimer's Disease (AD) in the age span 60-100 computed by means of the LEASPy algorithm (see below for further information).

The markers we show are 2 cognitive scores (Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale - 13 items (ADAS13)), volumes of hippocampi and ventricles and load of Amyloid-β and phosphorylated Tau (p-Tau) proteins. All markers were scaled between 0 and 1, where 0 represents normality and 1 represents abnormality. Volumes were derived from T1-weighted 3D MRI scans processed with freesurfer, normalized for the total intracranial volume and summed between left right and hemisphere. Protein loads were derived from PET imaging.

You can personalize the trajectories according to the risks of AD, colon cancer, depression, diabetes, hearing loss, hypertension and LDL cholesterol.
